PharmInvent at the 10th Middle East Regulatory Conference in Oman, 24 – 25 Sep 2013

As a internationally acknowledged expert in pharmacovigilance, Dr. Jan Petracek has been invited to give a speech at the 10th Middle East Regulatory Conference (MERC) 2013 in Oman.

Dr Petracek will provide a detailed overview of the new pharmacovigilance legislation in Europe which came into force on 2nd July 2012 and its present and future impact on stakeholders and the industry as a whole.

The conference offers the opportunity for key stakeholders active in the region including health ministry representatives, local and multi-national pharmaceutical companies and independent experts and consultants to meet and exchange views,discuss topics of interest and identify ways to increase patient access throughout the region to new and improved medicines and therapies.i-La,Muscat, Sultanate of Oman.

The event is organised by DIA in cooperation with the MERN, an ad hoc regional network of the EFPIA (European Federation of Pharmaceutical Industries and Associations). The MERN works in partnership with regulatory authorities and the pharmaceutical industry in the Middle East to develop legislation and regulatory practices that enable patients to have access to good quality medicines, including innovative medicines.

The conference will be held at the hotel Shangri-La in Muscat, Sultanate of Oman on 24-25 September 2013. The latest programme and further details are attached.
